Help Us Create
More Opportunities
Your support helps us expand our programs, reach more young mothers and create more opportunities for women to build stronger futures.
Skills and Economic Independence
A young mother may have a dream, an idea for a business
or the desire to learn a practical skill — but wanting
something different is only the beginning. She may still
need training, tools, seed capital, guidance and someone
willing to help her take that first step.
Education Seeds helps turn that first step into a practical
pathway toward greater economic independence.
Why This Program Matters
Education Seeds begins with one question: What do you want to do?
Rather than defining a young mother by the circumstances that brought her to the program, Education Seeds listens to what she wants to build and helps provide the seed funding, training, tools or support she needs to begin.
The goal is not simply to teach a skill. It is to help a woman develop something she can use to create an opportunity for herself, her child and her family.
From an Idea to a Small Business
Women tell us the kind of small business they want to start. We listen, help them think through a simple plan and provide seed capital to help them begin.
Women have used seed funding to sell everyday products needed in their communities, including flour, water, cookies, creams, peanuts, dried fish, palm oil, soap, used clothing and other products.
The business idea belongs to her. Education Seeds helps plant the first financial seed.
Her Sewing Journey
Participants can complete three months of practical sewing and production training, developing skills they can use to earn an income and support their families.
She Enrolls
A young mother enters the program with an opportunity to learn, even if she has no sewing experience or equipment.
She Trains
She completes three months of sewing, entrepreneurship and practical skills training.
She Graduates
She leaves with marketable skills and a sewing machine she can keep.
She Begins
She can use her skills and equipment to begin earning income for herself and her child.
She Pays It Forward
Graduates are encouraged to return, mentor other young women and share what they have learned.
Building Digital Skills
Participants also develop essential computer and digital skills that can expand their access to education, employment and business opportunities.
Help a Young Mother Take Her Next Step
Sponsor the training, tools, seed capital and support that can help a young mother turn her goals into a practical opportunity.
Health, Hygiene and Dignity
Health, hygiene and dignity are fundamental to a young
woman's ability to move forward with confidence.
Education Seeds provides practical education and resources
that help girls and young women care for their health with
greater confidence and dignity.
The program focuses on practical knowledge and tools that
women can continue using in their everyday lives.
Why This Program Matters
For many girls and young women, access to menstrual products can be limited by cost. Menstrual products can be too expensive to purchase every month.
Education Seeds responds with practical knowledge and skills that can help women manage their health with greater confidence and dignity.
Reusable Menstrual Pads
Through the sewing program, participants learn how to make their own reusable menstrual pads.
This practical skill gives them a safe, sustainable way to manage their menstrual health with dignity.
It also connects the program's practical sewing skills with an immediate health and hygiene need.
Health and Well-Being Education
Participants receive simple, age-appropriate education about menstrual health, reproductive health, healthy decision-making and emotional well-being.
The aim is to give young women knowledge they can understand and apply as they make decisions about their health and wellbeing.

Young Mothers in Technology
Technology can open doors to education, employment and
entrepreneurship. For a young mother whose opportunities
may already be limited, gaining practical digital skills
can create another pathway toward learning, work and
business opportunities.
Education Seeds introduces participants to practical
computer and digital skills that can expand their access
to education, employment and business opportunities.
Why Digital Skills Matter
Digital skills are increasingly connected to how people learn, communicate, find information, explore employment opportunities and develop businesses.
Education Seeds helps participants develop essential computer and digital skills that can expand their access to education, employment and business opportunities.
A Practical Introduction to Technology
The program focuses on practical digital learning rather than technology for its own sake. Participants are introduced to skills that can help them become more comfortable using computers and digital tools.
- Digital literacy and computer skills
- Smartphone and internet skills
- Digital communication and online safety
- Introduction to online work and freelancing
- Digital entrepreneurship and business tools

Opening Another Pathway
A young mother may already have a business idea, a desire to learn or a goal for her family. Digital skills can give her another set of tools to explore those goals.
The opportunity is to help her become more confident using technology and give her skills she can continue building as she pursues education, employment or entrepreneurship.
What Your Support Makes Possible
Your sponsorship helps Education Seeds provide practical technology training and mentorship so more young mothers can develop digital skills that expand their access to learning, work and entrepreneurship opportunities.
